Human Rights Education

In workshops and training sessions, I impart knowledge about international human rights standards and their application.

Human rights knowledge is crucial in order to be able to actively stand up for our rights and those of others. Human rights education aims to create awareness, understanding and acceptance of the universal norms and principles of human rights and contributes to the prevention of human rights violations and the fight against discrimination, racism and prejudice.

In individual workshops, I provide my participants with knowledge about international human rights standards and their application, develop their skills in respecting, promoting and complying with these standards and initiate reflection and discussion on their own attitude towards human rights issues.

I am also happy to work with young people in schools and educational institutions to impart knowledge about human rights and how they are concretely reflected in everyday situations.

What can I do for you in my workshops

  • In this workshop, I will use an interactive setting and practical examples to answer questions such as:

What rights does the term "human rights" cover?

    What international standards are there?

Which human rights are relevant for companies and your company in particular?

To what extent are companies responsible for human rights?

What legal and normative requirements exist for companies?

  • In this workshop, I will use an interactive setting and practical examples to answer questions such as:

What rights does the term "human rights" cover?

    What international standards are there?

Which human rights are particularly relevant for your organisation (police, NGOs, research institutions)?

To what extent are state and non-state organisations responsible for human rights?

  • In further workshops, I go into more detail on specific human rights topics, depending on the needs of the company or the target group.

    Possible focus topics are

    Assessment of the supply chain

Climate protection - a human rights issue

    Human rights as corporate values

the right to freedom from discrimination

    Social and labour rights

  • I am also happy to impart knowledge about human rights to young people, whether in clubs, schools or other organisations. The workshop or lecture content is adapted to suit the age group.

Topics of discussion could be, for example

    What are human rights?

How are human rights enshrined in the Basic Law?

    Human rights in everyday life?

    Children's rights

I am also happy to address difficult but relevant topics in an age-appropriate way, such as racism and discrimination in schools, nude photos and the right to privacy, and much more.
